The most important thing about our work is that we do it on behalf of the Community. Our overall objective is to help keep all our citizens safe, and we do so by working in partnership with other local agencies.

Welcome to the Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust website. Our Trust was formed on 1 April 2010 and comprises the two former County Durham and Teesside Probation Areas. We are one of thirty-five Probation Trusts in England and Wales.
I hope you find our web site interesting and informative. What the Probation Service does and how it works with offenders is not widely known. However, it is varied and complex.
